The owners were welcoming and reception was good, and the place was generally clean, though the hotel itself is old. A few things could have been better: our room had two single beds pushed together instead of a proper double, and there was no shampoo because the bottle was empty. Parking was especially tricky in the mountains, with very narrow spaces that were hard to find. If you drive away, your space might be taken when you return, and the area is very dark at night.

The shop looked great, and the alcohol was very good. We stopped in during our visit to Sacromonte hoping to buy a few bottles, but nobody explained anything. They poured samples of the classic and the elixir, then we bought three bottles for over 140 EUR. I was surprised to find the tasting shots had been charged separately. When I mentioned it to the staff, they only waived one or two of the six charges. That felt disappointing and not very business-minded.

We celebrated our wedding here, and I came away with lovely memories of the day. The food was delicious, the staff were warm and responsive, and the service and interiors were top notch. The restaurant’s special aperitif deserves its own compliment. It’s become my favorite place, and I’ll definitely be back more often.

The dining experience was lovely, and the place has a terrific atmosphere, tasteful decor, and gracious service. Even their Harry Potter theme week is handled with taste. My one disappointment was the vegetarian food. The only entrees were altered meat dishes, and they didn’t work very well.
