The hotel interior is lovely and the location is good, but I can't recommend it. It was nearly 80 degrees and the air conditioning in the rooms wasn't working. Breakfast was only so-so: the coffee was very bitter and the scrambled eggs were a no-go. Never again!

Una Hotels Varese is a handy business hotel near the city center. My room was a good size, and although it looked a little older, it was in good shape and very clean. Housekeeping did a thorough job every day. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and accommodating. Reception stays open around the clock, which is useful for late arrivals. Breakfast starts at 7 AM and has lots of choices, including gluten-free and vegetarian options. The restaurant serves dinner too; mine was just okay, nothing special, but fine for a one-night stay. There are several other restaurants nearby. Free parking is limited, though paid underground parking is available. I didn't get to use the gym because it opens at 7AM and work kept me busy. Room service choices were limited, and the vending machine was nearly empty. I did appreciate the two complimentary bottles of water in the room. A solid and convenient option for business travelers in Varese.

The rooms are spacious, and breakfast and parking were good. The staff were very kind, too, so it seems especially well suited to groups. I just wish there had been a kettle, tea, coffee, and water in the room.
