Albergo Ristorante Cuccini

We felt at ease the whole time at our New Year's dinner. The staff were so friendly and accommodating.

The raclette tasted good, and the service was friendly, but we left feeling we'd paid too much for what we got. At €25 each, we expected 250g of cheese with potatoes and pickles. Instead, each of us got two small slices of cheese, maybe 200g total at most, three or four baby potatoes, and a little bowl of pickles. There were only two of us, though it was just after New Year's. San Domenico has better value elsewhere, such as the pizzeria or the restaurant at the Hotel La Vetta.

The exceptional fried lake fish was a real treat. I’d only ended up there by chance for lunch, after the internet said the kitchen was closed, and the lady at the bar recommended it. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a kind smile that lasted through the meal. The two waiters were very good and kind. Congratulations, and see you next time.

We tried several dishes after they reopened, two starters, three first courses, and a main, with a bottle of wine. Everything was excellent, and the service was too. We’ll be back soon. Google still oddly lists the place as temporarily closed, but it’s open and the food is great.
