The antique rooms are gorgeous, and the bathroom is roomy enough. It felt private despite the shared balcony, and was cosy, with a beautiful mountain view. You can choose between two biallettis. There’s a path from the house to town that we hadn’t known about. Breakfast is self-serve. The town is lovely, a real gem close to Switzerland and Lago Maggiore. I’d go back whenever I can.

She shouts at you in German if you don't get to the door immediately, but then she's nowhere to be found when you need to ask her something. Mrs. Piera is VERY ANGRY. No card payments either, apparently to dodge tax. The place has a gypsy-style feel. Definitely no peace here!

The setting is lovely, with nature all around, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed and bathroom. But the owner's cold welcome spoiled the stay. She seemed almost bothered, and even saying good morning sounded like an effort. Breakfast was sparse, the coffee was instant, and you had to show up by 9 a.m. Not worth the price.

A simple, quirky, spotless place, cared for down to the details. It's easy to get to from the center of Varzo, and the hospitality is both practical and friendly. A lovely mountain stay if you're looking to relax and feel renewed. Highly recommended for a reset!

We felt at home thanks to the hostess, who was incredibly kind. The room was spotless and had everything just right. Such a charming place, we'll definitely come back!
