The residence is in Vassena, a small village that feels removed from the tourist crowds, but it has everything you need close by: a little supermarket, a cute café with lakeside seating, and a very good restaurant, all about a minute away on foot. Bellagio and Lecco are about ten minutes away by car or bus. Roberta was the best host we’ve ever had. She was kind, friendly, and so helpful. The accommodation was modern, spotless, and comfortable, and we felt at ease right away. Thanks so much for everything, Roberta. We’d love to come back!

The landlady was really kind and friendly. She checked in by text to make sure I was alright on my own, and gave me useful tips on places to visit and eat. The apartment is new and clean, with great facilities and a lot of thought put into them. The back garden sits beside the lake, and at night you can lie there watching the stars and listening to the soft waves. It’s a quiet spot, with free parking at the plaza just a minute’s walk away and Bellagio only a 15-minute drive. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure. I’d recommend staying here to friends visiting Lake Como. Bed 9/10, shower 7/10, cleanliness 9/10, value for money 10/10!

Residence Matilde made a lovely base for our honeymoon and short stay. Roberta was accommodating and made sure we were comfortable and well looked after. The place was spacious, clean, and modern, with a kitchen and laundry facilities. In Vassena, it was easy to drive to Bellagio and take a day trip to Varenna. There’s also a small supermarket and local café nearby. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The garden is beautifully decorated, with an astonishing view that makes you want to have breakfast outside in nature. The apartment is exceptionally well organized, and its location is great, with boat and SUP rentals just around the corner and a small shop nearby for essential groceries. The host was very friendly and did her best to make our stay enjoyable. We’d definitely come back and strongly recommend it!

We stayed in the beautiful upper room, which had everything we needed. Roberta is so helpful and clearly passionate about the region. We definitely recommend this place!
