Vasto is beautiful, and being in the historic center where things come alive in the evening turned out to be a great choice. The room was an amazing surprise, set above an ancient Roman granary, and breakfast came right to us. As Vespa travelers who've seen all sorts of places, we were impressed as soon as we opened the door. We felt looked after, with a bit of an ancient Roman sense of guarding grain, something vital to them and part of how they built their empire. Marika was lovely and helped with everything, including letting us check in early in the morning when we had all our luggage and nowhere to leave it. She also suggested places to eat and, especially, the nicest beaches to visit. www.Il Timbro, who believed in this kind of tourism and invested in fabulous facilities.

We had a great time here. The apartment was tidy, well cared for, and had heating, with breakfast brought to the room. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the B&B is right in the heart of the city. If I'm back in Vasto, I know where I'll stay.
