La Collina Dei Colori

The rooms were very clean, and the staff were kind and ready to help. It’s a wonderful place, with a lovely location ❣️

The whole stay felt like an odyssey. We had to sleep in a separate house, drive to the restaurant for dinner, then drive again to a bar for breakfast. Dinner had a fixed menu with no choice of dishes, and breakfast was a set option with no choice either, served 15 minutes away by car. We were never told during booking that breakfast would be off-site. We'd also been told the accommodation was "100 meters" away, but it turned out to be about 2 km away. That was important information, and it was either left out or downplayed. When we asked the staff to explain, they weren't helpful or cooperative, and offered neither a solution nor an apology. A disappointing experience, with no transparency, no organization, and no sense of hospitality. Absolutely to be avoided.

We celebrated our grandson Andrea's First Communion here, surrounded by olive groves, and it turned into an unforgettable day. The view of Vasto and its sea from the first-floor room was breathtaking. It had bright windows and a balcony, and there's another first-floor room with a terrace too. Outside, we were welcomed with a generous buffet, then had seafood appetizers, first courses, and second courses. Everything was plentiful, beautifully prepared and presented. Fruit salad with ice cream and cake came at the end. The tables were set with taste, and the service was attentive throughout. Compliments to the owner, chef, and all the staff for their hospitality and care with the details.

The only drawback is the road up to the restaurant. It gets a bit narrow when two cars meet. Once you're there, though, the view across the landscape is incomparable from every part of the dining rooms and outdoor area. Food quality, service, and setting are nicely balanced. A good choice for events or a Sunday lunch with family or friends.
