The owner is really nice, and the freshly squeezed orange juice with the usual Italian breakfast earned an extra star from me. The place is quite nice, though a little worn. If you’re into that old honey-brown wood style, you’ll like it.

Dinner at the hotel was wonderful, with a good selection of wines. It’s right in the town centre, so most historic sights are easy to reach on foot. The hotel has a charming feel and quaint décor, the rooms were clean, and the staff were very helpful.

The location worked perfectly for exploring Vasto and getting down to the marina. There’s convenient parking nearby, and you can take in lovely sea views from there. We stayed three wonderful days at Locanda dei Baroni, in a beautifully restored historic mansion that still has a sense of its old splendour, alongside warm, modern hospitality. Our quadruple room was spacious and had every comfort. We didn’t get a chance to try the hot tub, unfortunately. Alessio and the ladies were always available if we needed anything. Highly recommended, and thank you!
