What stayed with me most was how at home the hosts made me feel. They’re kind, attentive, and clearly care about looking after guests. The owner also shares the story behind this charming bed and breakfast. It feels built around genuine hospitality rather than profit, and everything I needed was there.

The view is gorgeous, and the whole place feels like home. There are thoughtful personal touches throughout, including the lovely tea sets in the dining room’s vintage cabinet, which belonged to Giorgio’s grandparents. We arrived close to midnight, but Giorgio came out to welcome us, shared plenty of tips, and even arranged breakfast. We slept so well. A beautiful house and a warm, attentive host. Great for families with kids or travelers working on a laptop. Bravo, Giorgio!

The mountain and lake views at Cadorna Chalet are phenomenal, far better than the photos can show. It’s a beautiful house with a great story, and Giorgio is a genuinely helpful host who gave us excellent recommendations. If you’d rather have an authentic experience than stick to touristy Como, this is the place. Our best stay in italy!

The family who hosted us at Cadorna Chalet were amazing. Georgio and his family went out of their way to help, even giving us a lift after our bus never showed and arranging dinner reservations. Veleso is a lovely, authentic village, cooler in summer, and just a short drive from Nesso by the lake. The hotel’s views are beautiful too. We had a wonderful stay this summer and hope to return when we’re next in Como. Thank you!

We’ve already come back three or four times, and each visit has been worth it. The owners are wonderful hosts and make us want to return again. The hotel has distinctive antique furniture and feels decorated with real love, with an unmistakably Italian atmosphere. The views all around are overwhelming, and the setting gives you a chance to enjoy local life by Como lake away from the overly crowded tourist spots. A car is probably best if you want the flexibility to visit other places, though there’s a public bus too. Contact the owners and they can help with the schedule. Nearby, you can go hiking or visit an agritourism spot, and the most famous waterfall in Como is very close. There’s also a winery and vineyards around, which we didn’t visit but could be worth considering.
