We only needed somewhere to stop for one night, so it worked out. The outside is lovely, but the room itself was clean and still felt uncomfortable to use because so much inside needed a serious upgrade. We arrived in the early hours, and the owners kindly left the room unlocked for us, so we never met them.

The hosts were kind and the service was good, though our waiter seemed a little cranky. We had a really nice stay in this peaceful, relaxing place. One concern: the bedroom has a flight of stairs that feels dangerous if you need to get up during the night.

The food was great, and the kiwi jams were amazing. Everything outdoors was clean and felt very safe, and having a pool in the Italian warmth, with a bit of wine, was such a treat. It's also only a few kilometers to the train station, so getting into the heart of Rome was easy and quick, without traffic or parking to deal with. We loved the people and staff here when we stayed in 2011, and we're coming back in 2014 to stay here again. I Casali della Parata, thank you, and see you in 2014. I recommend it to everyone.

The views are stunning, with fresh air and a really quiet setting. Staff were friendly, and the food was exquisite. Make sure to try the homemade olives and olive oil.
