We only stopped for a Spritz at first, then stayed for dinner. The food and wine were great, and the service was wonderful. It was lovely meeting the family behind the commune.

The servers were nice and attentive, and the cheesecake was really good with a proper-sized portion. Sadly, nearly everything else was disappointing for the price. The two red wines we ordered were barely half glasses, and the wine itself was quite ordinary. The portions were very small too. We got five tasty ravioli, but only five normal-sized ones. The €20 pulled beef wasn’t anything special and came with three small pieces of plain white toast and just over a tablespoon of mixed vegetables, something I could make in five minutes. The Ciervo dish was small as well. We went for dinner last night with my wife’s family, who live nearby. They’d eaten here often over the years and had insisted we all come, so it was a shame.
