Parking can be tricky in the medieval section of town, but once you arrive, there’s an elevator to help get your luggage to the room. My room had a huge living room, a balcony, and a large bathroom. Breakfast was very nice, and the staff were amazing. It was an amazing bargain, very clean, and furnished with lovely furniture and antiques.

I was here for 3 days on a school trip, and the stay was amazing. The house’s interior was beautiful, decorated with ornate antiquities from hundreds of years ago.

Breakfast was included, delicious, and generous, and our room had a four-poster bed with breathtaking views over the town and surrounding mountains. Palazzo del Prete is an overwhelmingly beautiful building, considered the most historically preserved noble palace in all of Molise, and it has been in the same family for 300 years. Our visit included a fascinating, detail-rich tour, with one stunning chamber after another. The ceilings are ravishing, showing griffins, putti, flowers, and birds, all crafted to a very high standard. Highly recommended.

The owners and staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and breakfast was perfect. It’s a stunning mansion with only a few guest rooms, filled with interesting art, books, and objects from the noble family. Staying there felt like stepping into a very luxurious time in history. I’d give it more stars if I could, highly recommend this place!

The terrace room had a lovely view, a clean bathroom, and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable, with coffee, warm bread, meats, cheese, and homemade marmalades, served in a beautiful, characterful room. There’s a lift for people who are less able-bodied, though the terrace room has extra stairs. The view makes those stairs worthwhile if you can manage them. We visited because of our family heritage interest and were blown away by the palace. The hosts were friendly and offered a fascinating tour. Even in the rain we enjoyed ourselves. The history and artefacts are amazing, and the property’s original condition gives a glimpse of times gone by. I got to hold a book from 1697, which in the UK would be in a glass box! The setting is romantic and would make a lovely place for a wedding. There’s even a small chapel/church for prayer. The palace is captivating, as is the quaint surrounding architecture, from Roman and medieval to modern times. I hope you love it as much as we did.
