I arranged this through a letting website for a student, but the landlord lives in the apartment and is very controlling. It’s impossible to reason with him. In winter, the heating only came on after 7:30pm. The shower temperature control didn’t work and the water burned my skin, and the kitchen was very limited. I wouldn’t consider this suitable for young people staying alone.

The room, bathroom, and kitchen were all pretty ordinary, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The host wasn’t kind to us. After we used the bathroom, he got angry and said we should keep it clean. He also moved our room while we were out, which left us really embarrassed.

There were enough towels and breakfast for everyone, and the cleaner was able to answer questions and point us in the right direction. The B&B is near a bus station, with a 10 to 12 minute ride to the island.

I liked the place.

The landlord lives in the apartment and can be intrusive, for example, counting how many showers you take. Given the quality and location, I found the accommodation expensive. I wouldn’t recommend it to students planning to stay for a while.
