I’m furious about how dishonest and gaslighting customer service was. They got things wrong and lied, and I can’t put into words how angry I am. Two and a half months ago they offered me a refund to make themselves look good, but I still haven’t received any money. Marta & Chiara should be very ashamed of themselves.
The bus stop for central Venice is practically across the street, and our room had a private bathroom and terrace. The place was clean, well located, and the service was excellent. We stayed three nights in spring 2012, and all the staff were wonderful. The Cuban owner was especially attentive and lovely. When she saw me heading out in the rain to do laundry, she came to pick me up when she thought I was finished. Such a thoughtful gesture.
I remember the owners giving me a warm welcome. They also own the adjacent Fragomeno Travel. I stayed for one night in late summer 2008, in an attic-like room with a window in the ceiling. I can’t remember whether it had air conditioning. There was no ensuite bathroom, but the one across the corridor was reserved for me and I was given the key. Breakfast was very basic and I prepared it myself, since I had to leave early the next morning.
