We stopped at The Colours for lunch and enjoyed both the delicious pizza and the tasty classic pasta. The atmosphere felt warm and family-run, and the service was attentive at every table. The local sparkling wine was nicely chilled, and the authentic tiramisu was a real treat, delicious all the way through.

We’ve been coming back here whenever we visit Venice, and have done so for years. It’s a local place with friendly service, delicious food, fresh seafood, and very generous portions. I’ll definitely come again. Highly recommend!

This is a great spot for a local-feeling stay, with lovely hosts who are warm and helpful. It’s off the island, but the bus ride is only about 10-15 minutes, and bus 19 stops right outside the hotel. There’s also a restaurant serving a lovely breakfast spread: cheese, ham, jelly, bread, oranges, and eggs, with coffee, tea, or cappuccino to drink. It’s a good option if you want a more local experience and would rather not drag your suitcase over Venice’s bridges and stairs, through narrow walkways and crowds.
