Cortina

It was convenient to leave my luggage after checkout, and the towels were changed daily. The hotel is very close to the train station, with a direct connection to Venice. But the room was tiny, had no window, and the bed wasn’t comfortable. There was a smell of smoke throughout the hotel, including the rooms, which I didn’t enjoy as a non-smoker. It was noisy at night over the weekend. The staff communicated in Chinese and Italian, didn’t speak English, and couldn’t give me information about travel options to Venecia or the airport.

Our flight to Amsterdam was cancelled and we had no more reservation, but the staff kindly let us stay in the lobby until our 9pm bus to Utretch. They also kept our luggage in a very secure, locked room. Their help and excellent service meant a lot to us. Our heartfelt thanks for their kindness.

The location was great, but the treatment was rude. They cancelled our booking because we had only a driver's license and not a hard-copy passport. We’d travelled all over Italy using those IDs through Booking.com. There was no apology, and we were left stranded for hours trying to find another hotel. Booking.com was unreachable.

The staff were extremely helpful, and you can ask them anything. The bar is fantastic and the prices are affordable. Rooms are very comfortable and make you feel at home. It’s a great place to stay, just 50 meters from the station.
