Double A Guest House

At 8.30pm I was left on the street with nowhere to stay because there was no communication from the staff. I had booked through Booking.com, but got no information in the app or by email. I couldn’t get through the gate, and nobody answered the bell despite my trying for 15 minutes. This was after the owner’s automatic app response had approved my requested check-in time. Now I have to give up seeing Venice and chase refunds and replacement accommodation instead. This completely ruined this part of my trip. Terrible service, avoid it and look elsewhere.

They charged a 20€ fee for arriving after 10pm, but that wasn't stated on Booking.

Adriana was so kind and helpful, and made us feel at home. She explained how the house worked, where the nearby supermarkets were, how to get tram tickets, where to eat, and how to reach Venice's historic center. She even gave us antibacterial hand cleaner for after riding the tram. The house is on a quiet street, about a five-minute walk from the tram that goes straight to Venice. The rooms are upstairs on the first floor. Everything felt new, clean, and carefully put together, with lovely decor that was still practical. Our room had a TV with Chrome Cast, which was a great way to relax after a long day walking. There’s a shared dining area with coffee, tea, milk, fruit, and lots of snacks available around the clock. There was no hot water, and when I called the administrator about it, he couldn't fix the problem. I had to find another RBB, and then wait a week for reimbursement. Not recommended.
