The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shared bathrooms were mostly clean too. We paid a reasonable rate for five nights, partly because flights were cheap, and the location made it easy to get to Venice. Still, we wouldn’t stay again. For three nights in a row, we were badly bitten by what might have been bedbugs or mosquitoes. The walls are thin, and some guests were noisy well past 11 pm. On our last night, close to 1 am, we asked the host, who was checking people in, to tell them to quiet down. A child who seemed to belong to someone working there was also loud in the morning and woke us up. Paying was annoying too, since the card machine wasn’t working. They did suggest some good places to eat.

We were there in June, and our host was really accommodating, even helping when our plug adapter didn’t work. The bus stops right outside and gets you into Venice. Breakfast was lovely at a nice restaurant around the corner. There isn’t much nearby for dinner, but Venice is close.

For the price, this is a great place. Someone working there met us and was extremely friendly and helpful, with useful tips about local transport. There’s a bus stop right beside the BNB for getting into Venice, and another bus goes straight to Marco Polo airport. Restaurants and grocery stores are nearby too. It has more of a hostel feel, with lots of rooms and two shared bathrooms, but the bathrooms are modern and very clean. The room locks, and the pillows were really comfortable. The beds could use an upgrade.

We called the guy because we couldn’t find the place, and he came to pick us up. There were no signs or logo, and nearby hotels hadn’t heard of it. It’s by the parking lot of Delfino Hotel, number 215. He seemed very friendly. The room was clean and nice, the bathroom was good, and there’s air conditioning. Downstairs is right in front of the bus station to Venice, with a big supermarket next door. The owner wanted cash, saying the card machine was broken. Maybe it was to avoid taxes, like everywhere in Italy. Glad we booked here.

The bed and the place are perfect, and the owner is really kind. Just keep in mind that the owner doesn’t speak Italian. You can’t use the kitchen, and be careful on the roof: if you shut the door, you’ll find yourself locked out! Recommended.
