Four Points by Sheraton Venice Mestre

Auran, Hanane, and Alina made a real difference during my stay at Four Points by Sheraton Venice Mestre. They were warm, professional and consistently helped make things easy and comfortable. They remembered the little details, kept communication clear and often stepped in before I needed to ask. Thanks to all three for such thoughtful hospitality.

Breakfast was a mess, with too few seats for the guests, so we had to take turns getting a place to eat. It felt like a packed cafeteria. Only ONE lift was running, and I waited in line more than 30 minutes just to use it. For a hotel this size, that was completely unacceptable. The place seems poorly managed and unable to cope with the number of guests it takes in. It wasn't worth the price, and I won't be back.

I got a housekeeping staff member to let me in. 28/09/23: my key wouldn't work three times that morning. I had to go down from the 6th floor to reception on the ground floor three times to get into my room. On the third trip to reception I was frustrated and fuming, made worse by a rude, haughty front service staff member who acted like she was doing me a favor. She said my key was for a room on the 3rd floor, though mine was on the 6th. Somehow I had an inkling she had that attitude because she was a karen. Many of my fellow travellers, 31 pax, had room key problems too. A few had issues with cleanliness, aircon, toiletries, and/or front service.

The location is a little farther out, but there's a bus station directly across from the hotel and a train station 750m away, both taking you to and from Venice. Make sure to get the vaperato and public transport pass, it helps with getting around (€25 per day and €35 for 2 days). My friends and I stayed two days and absolutely recommend it. The rooms are decent and good value compared with hotels we stayed in Verona and Florence at a similar price. The staff were some of the most helpful we've met in Italy, especially Elenora, who helped arrange our rooms and travel.
