The housekeeper was really kind, and the place had a nice atmosphere. We did have trouble with the bed because it kept giving way. Getting around by public transport was quite an experience, but I’d still recommend the place.

I booked in a hurry and missed the extra costs, so that part was on me. Still, the house was musty, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the parking space only fits a small car. It’s also not very convenient for the train station. They charged my card three times without explanation or an apology, and I never got a receipt. The manager didn’t come by and only contacted us on WhatsApp. This is the worst review I’ve ever written. Highly recommended.

The value for money was very poor, especially with costs that weren’t highlighted on the Booking.com listing. They charged around €50 in cleaning fees for a one-night stay, yet used tissues and soap sachets were still left around the house. The payment handling was absurd too: charges keep appearing on our bank account, and we’ve never received an invoice for the full amount due.

The courtyard parking is excellent, and the place is well-served by transport. For a short stay, nearby bus stops should make it convenient for visiting Venice.

A terrible place to stay, and not an experience I’d repeat. Watch out for hidden costs and repeated charges on your card. I ended up having to contact the police.
