Hotel Al Vivit

The breakfast itself was a highlight, with fresh, tasty breads, pastries, meats, yogurt, fruit, vegetables, and cheese. The room was modern, clean, and very nice, while the location made it easy to reach Venice Santa Lucia and was just minutes from the main bus and train station. Reception staff were friendly and gave us useful transit advice. One breakfast staff member, a brown-haired woman with glasses, made the experience much worse. We asked if we could take breakfast to go for our 7 a.m. train on the second day. We understood that hotel policy did not allow exceptions, but her response was unnecessarily hostile. When we arrived a little before 7, she rudely refused service. At 7, when we planned to eat at a table, she accused us of having taken food the day before. She greeted other guests normally but repeatedly treated us with anger and unfairness. The hotel, room, breakfast selection, and location were excellent, but her behavior significantly affected our stay. I’d recommend the hotel while warning guests about this staff member.

We liked being in a lively neighborhood with restaurants, cafés, shops, and a shopping centre nearby. Bus and ferry tickets for Venice were available right at Hotel Vivit, and a bus stop with direct connections to Venice and nearby areas was a 10-minute walk away. It was a convenient base for exploring while avoiding the heavy crowds. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, with a good mattress, a large shower, and a mini fridge. Staff were very friendly. Fridda at reception kindly checked us in early after our flight arrived ahead of schedule, which made our day. Breakfast exceeded expectations, with fresh homemade produce, cold meats, cakes, fruit, and more. Even my picky nieces found plenty they liked. We stayed two nights and loved it.

The room faced the piazza, so we could hear people talking and cleaning up late at night. It was convenient, and the spring bed was hard but comfortable enough for a night. There was a slight bleach smell, though at least I knew the room had been cleaned.

The staff were warm and helpful, and our room was clean with a modern design. The location was convenient too. Thanks for having us, we had a wonderful stay in Vernice.
