Hotel New Aurora Venice

The shared bathroom was the one drawback, though it stayed clean and was always available. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the beds were comfortable. With a bus stop right outside for getting into central Venice, it had what we needed for a short visit.

Breakfast was just a croissant and coffee, and the towels had an odd smell. The view and location were awful, with nowhere nearby to go for something to eat, and the place felt gloomy. Most of the staff seemed uninterested, though a few were exceptions. We had a bathroom in our room, I suppose that was one good thing. While we were out, cleaners came in and moved our belongings around while tightening the sheets, but didn't change them.

The bus stop was only about three minutes away, and there was a huge supermarket nearby called Panorama. We found the hotel clean and pleasant for the low price, with air conditioning in the room and a private bathroom. All the staff greeted us so kindly and were extremely helpful. When we left, they even gave us a Venice magnet, which was a first for me. We spent two nights here while visiting Venice and would highly recommend it. Greetings from Hungary!

I only managed about five hours of sleep, from midnight to five, because the noise kept going through the room. We were in an industrial area with trucks passing, and the rooms don't block sound at all. The location felt pretty bad. This seemed like about as basic a hotel as you can find in Italy. The photos didn't look much like the place, and the room, breakfast and even the elevator were basic. The staff were trying hard to make the stay pleasant, though. Thanks for the magnet :)
