Il Casolare Hotel

Dinner was a mess, and I wouldn't recommend this place. We asked what time to eat and went to the dining room at the time we'd been given, but the owner's daughter said we were too late. We were on time, so the owner apologized and served us. On Saturday night she didn't cook for us again, without telling us in the morning. We had a glass of wine, but she was rude and ordered pizza for herself, eating it in the dining room while we were there. Her mother hadn't spoken to my fiancée, so we thought she didn't know English. Later, though, she was talking with a couple nearby. We stayed a few days. When we asked for directions, we were told it was less than a kilometre from the bus stop and safe to cross the road, but neither claim was true. We'd requested a queen bed, but got two singles. The shower sometimes had no hot water.

The countryside around the hotel is beautiful, and it's a quiet, cozy place with pleasant staff. The owners make you feel at home. Our room and bathroom were spacious, and the bed was comfortable. This is our second year staying here, and we'd like to thank the staff for their hospitality.

The woman was extremely rude, yelling at me and demanding my credit card even though we hadn't set foot inside. We'd already waited two hours in the heat outside the locked “hotel,” with nobody out front, before an old lady came out. The place looked more like an abandoned house that wasn't cared for, and it seemed deserted, with no other guests. It was also full of flying bugs inside and out. The location was very rural. Poor behavior, awful-looking place, not worth the money or anyone's time. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The rooms smelled terrible, and there were spider webs and spiders in every corner, with cockroaches crawling on the walls. The walls are thin, so you hear everything from other guests. This place is awful, it made the hostel I stayed in look amazing.
