Smart Hotel Holiday

The room layout felt modern, and it was quiet and safe. I was comfortable here, and my first stay in Venice, Italy, is one I won't forget. The staff were helpful, nice, and accommodating. Luciano at the restaurant/bar was especially good. He knew a lot about wines, suggested a good Italian wine, and communicated with guests so well. That made for great service. I'm satisfied with my stay and will be sure to come back.

There aren't many restaurants around the area, so it was fortunate that the hotel had a good choice of dinner dishes. The food was good, and the Italian dishes tasted authentic. We had a good dinner there during our one-night stay. They kindly brought us a kettle for the chamomile tea we wanted before bed. A tennis match featuring the Italian number-one men's player Jannik Sinner was on, and the guest service person was very bubbly while talking about him.

The staff were smiley, and breakfast was a good buffet. The room had a TV and a comfortable bed. Ask for a kettle if you need one. It's a 10-minute walk from the tram stop, and the tram takes about 20 minutes to reach Venice.

Traveling with Europamundo and my 90-year-old father, we were put in an extension building across the street from the main hotel. I had to cross with my luggage in one hand and help him with the other, which was awfully hard. The room was small, the walls were dirty and sticky, and there wasn't even drinking water. The front desk service was rude and unprofessional. Don't trust the website pictures unless the main hotel's rooms are the ones shown. They assured me we were in the best part of the hotel 🤨
