The staff were great and the rooms were cleaned every day, but the pool was a big disappointment. We booked because the kids wanted to swim, yet it never seemed to be cleaned and the deep end looked green, especially frustrating during a heat wave. We also couldn't get the TVs working until someone came on the last day and fixed one after about 15 minutes, which was too late to be much use. The fridge only worked when the lights were off and the card was in the slot. No one there speaks English. The restaurant next to the hotel, though, was excellent and served great food.

I'm sorry, but I can't leave a positive review. The third-floor rooms are worn and dated, and the TV doesn't work. The bathroom is the only part that's been recently renovated. Cleanliness was especially disappointing: there was dust everywhere, even after I mentioned it to reception. The staff were polite, at least.

The food was excellent and generous, with fair prices, and the outdoor garden and pool are fabulous. Set among greenery between Benevento and Avellino, it can host large receptions, with seating for 450 or more. The rooms are clean, quiet, and well kept, and sleeping was comfortable with either cooling or heating. My shower, unfortunately, was too small to use, and the step outside it meant I could slip or hurt my toes when stepping out with wet feet. That's how it went. Still, the place is worth visiting.
