Europalace Hotel

We stayed as a couple in August, during extreme heat, but were comfortable with the windows open and a nice breeze coming through. The hotel is a short five-minute walk from boat rentals, restaurants, a tennis court, and more. Our room faced lake Maggiore, and the quiet setting, free public parking nearby, good breakfast, and friendly, helpful staff made the stay feel worth every penny. They brought extra pillows and blankets as soon as we asked. Dinner at the restaurant was decent too. We’d read the reviews before booking, so the low rating is still a mystery to me. The design is a bit dated, but the hotel is well maintained and that didn’t bother us. I also saw complaints about there being no mini-bar and thought, seriously? I’d recommend it for couples or families.

We found the hotel good value for a week or less at lake Maggiore. It has what we needed for a good stay. The location close to the lake added a lot to our visit, and the atmosphere was very quiet. Free public parking is nearby. Breakfast was good, and there were plenty of dinner options at the hotel. The staff were especially friendly and helpful.

This was our second stay, and we’ll be back again. It’s a cozy old-style Italian hotel in a beautiful setting, with breathtaking views across the lake. The staff are lovely, and breakfast is really good, especially the coffee.

Our room was huge and comfortable, and having breakfast by the lake was perfect. For a three-star hotel, the price was low and felt well worth it, especially with a lake view. The hair dryers barely have any power and are pretty useless, though I suppose that fits the price point.
