Il Giardino Di Lory

The views over the lake and toward the northern valleys and mountains were spectacular, with lovely daytime scenery and night lights, stars, the moon, and the occasional thunderstorm. There was a large TV in the apartment, but we never turned it on. Sarah and her team were fantastic. The rooms are modern and very well kept, and the pool is fabulous. Even with up to eight different families, groups, or couples staying there, it never felt crowded. There are plenty of good quality sun loungers too. The place is near the northern end of the lake, so it's less busy than the southern tourist hotspots, and the local restaurants are better value. It's easy to get around: a fast hydrofoil runs from the bottom of the hill to Bellagio and the other central lake towns. One tip: take it around 4 pm, enjoy Bellagio after some tourists have left, have an early dinner, then catch the last boat back at around 8 pm and be home by 9. At the bottom of the hill there's a small supermarket that's okay but closes at lunchtime, and there's another small local shop just up the hill. If you're driving from the east or north, I'd suggest stocking up on the way in at the huge supermarket in Fuentes, Iperal Fuentes. Sarah and the team were always available with information on places to see. Their office has lots of guides and leaflets, and the boat schedules were especially useful. Hope I can come back one day!

The staff were always helpful and ready to lend a hand. It's a great place for a short stay or a longer visit. We spent eleven days here and had a wonderful time, and could easily have stayed longer. Wonderful location and views. Thanks, Sarah and staff!

The infinity pool and the amazing view made our visit so special. The villa is gorgeous, and we had lovely service. Thank you, Sarah, we loved it.
