We’ve been coming here to eat for years. The menu sticks to traditional dishes, and there are a few vegetarian choices, like the local trout, though nothing for vegans. August gets busy, so it’s sensible to book. If you’re in a pinch, they may fit you in outside, weather permitting.

Service was poor. We had to find a menu ourselves and go inside to place our order, while other tables were getting wine, water, and friendly attention. After a long walk, we stopped here for lunch, but the sandwich was mostly dry bread with just two slices of meat and cheese, no dressing or vegetables. It felt uninspired and overpriced. We won’t be back.
