L'agave cinque terre

My wife and I had been looking forward to this weekend as our honeymoon. We wanted open windows, the sound of the sea, and glasses clinking in the restaurants. Instead, a huge construction crane blocked the entire view from our window, with constant construction noise, a loud engine, and a terrible diesel smell. The landlord did nothing to fix the situation. We were told the work had only started the day before, but I spoke to the builders and learned it had been going on for a long time and would continue for weeks. We called the owner in advance, so they knew there was a problem and didn’t warn us. The room still cost the standard 220 euros. We spent our stay looking at the crane, hearing the engine, and smelling diesel. If you’re planning to stay in the Agave rooms soon, you may still have time to cancel and find somewhere else. I’d avoid Riomaggiore while this construction site is spoiling everyone’s stay. Work is expected through the end of May and the first half of June.

I felt very welcome, and the host explained everything in the apartment clearly. The private balcony had an amazing view, and we saw perfect sunsets. Great views and a great host.

The terrace and garden are lovely spots to relax or have an aperitif. The owner, Antonella, is extremely kind, helpful, and welcoming. This is a clean, tidy little gem on the cliff, inside the historic center, with an exceptional sea view. The house is very pretty and thoughtfully detailed. Definitely worth a try, and thank you, Antonella.

The route to a swimming spot by the sea passes right by the apartment. It’s not crowded there in the morning or evening, and it’s beautiful. Antonella is incredibly kind and reliable.
