Abbraccio di Romeo e Giulietta

A lovely spot, close to the town centre.

We paid for a booking and then couldn’t stay. After waiting for over an hour, we were shown into a damp, musty room with no windows, nothing like the elegant apartment in the misleading photos. There was just one door, opening onto a busy road, and it was covered in mosquitoes. The only curtain was dusty, dirty, and torn. I’m attaching photos, though they can’t show the smell or the mosquitoes that made it impossible for us to use what we’d paid for. The owner never came or contacted us, and we weren’t refunded. Instead, she sent a woman who didn’t speak Italian and kept asking if we wanted her to clean something, poor thing. I’m sharing this so nobody else gets ripped off. We’ll definitely take this further.

Everything was spotless and well cared for, and the B&B is right in the heart of Verona. You can walk to all the city’s cultural and interesting sights. A perfect place, highly recommended.

The welcome at B&B Abbraccio di Romeo made our visit feel extra special. They were so courteous and kind that we felt looked after from the moment we arrived until we left. Verona itself is beautiful, and visiting is always a lovely discovery.
