The air conditioning was the main reason I'd tell people not to book here. Guests can't control it in the room, the front desk does. They switch it on at 8 pm and off at 11:30 pm. When I called, a rude Italian man said he didn't speak English and told me it had to be off because they turn it off every night at 11:30. The room was at 25°C. We asked them to turn on the central air conditioning at 8, but the weak unit only got down to 24°C after three hours, and we had to sleep in a hot room all night. We couldn't open the window because mosquitoes and bugs would fly in. The room wasn't very clean, with hair on the pillow, and I wondered if the sheets had been changed. The mini fridge wasn't cold, so putting food in it could risk food poisoning. The walls were very thin, and we could hear next door through the air conditioning. There was no kettle, no tea or coffee in the room, and only a bucket of ice in the lobby. The TV had only old Italian shows, like something from the 1970s. I rarely write hotel reviews, but the rude front desk guy turning off everyone's air conditioning and leaving guests to sleep in the heat really annoyed me. Air conditioning is a basic feature in developed countries. If this hotel can't afford the electricity to run its broken units, maybe it shouldn't be open. Do yourself a favor and avoid booking unless you like sweltering nights.

Breakfast was good, and reception is staffed 24/7, so it's usually easy to get questions answered. It's a neat little hotel not too far from the center. The beds are on the hard side, and the busy street right beside the hotel can make it hard to get a good night's sleep.

The air conditioner was the worst problem. It didn't cool even after I asked reception several times to fix it and they set it to 20°C or lower. I ended up sleeping with the windows open and got bitten by mosquitoes. It was a terrible experience. The location was also poor, with no pharmacy, supermarket or shops nearby. The room felt very basic and cheap, especially for the €107 I paid for one night. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

The room was good for the price, but watch the bill at checkout. They tried to charge us twice for the underground parking, which would have overcharged us by quite a bit. We pointed it out and paid the correct amount. Make sure you know what your stay should cost before paying and it should be alright.

Breakfast was a favorite, with unusual items I rarely or never see at other hotels, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, though a bit small. The hotel itself felt somewhat old, and we spotted tiny ants on the floor. It's right beside a noisy road, and the parking outside looks a bit beat up. Still, we enjoyed our stay a lot and would love to come back. Great value for the money.
