B&B Casa Diaz

The location is nice, with an easy walk into the city. Communication over Whatsapp was friendly and helpful, including lots of useful details on parking and getting to the hotel. They were also flexible with timing when requested. The room was disappointing. Even with windows, all we could see was walls. Though recently refurbished, it didn’t get enough air circulation and had a noticeable odor. There’s no elevator.

Everything is just minutes away, so the location is fantastic. The accommodation was bright, lovely, and clean, with a Nespresso machine and fridge. It’s central, so bring earplugs and keep that in mind.

The cleanliness was the one really negative part, and it’s why I can only give two stars. The rooms were very dirty, as if they weren’t cleaned at all: dust built up on the headboards, shelves, and windows, the mirrors were very dirty, and the floors were too dirty to walk on barefoot. Otherwise, the location is excellent, quiet despite being in the city center. The property is new and well furnished, breakfast is very good, and the manager is helpful and always available.

The only thing I’d flag is the price per person, which was a little higher than other B&Bs in the area. Still, the service and location more than made up for it. B&B Casa Diaz is right in the heart of Verona, steps from the main sights, so you can explore without transport. The rooms are clean, modern, and well equipped for a pleasant stay, and the staff are friendly and helpful online.
