Hotel Europa

The service was great and we had a good time. It's in a lovely spot near the water and the main square. Just keep in mind the rooms and bathrooms are small and quite old.

The central location makes this a decent choice for the price, though there's nothing especially outstanding about it. Inside feels dated, but things seemed reasonably well maintained. The shower pressure was excellent. The room was warm, a little too dry in the evening, and the pillow was softer than I like. We followed advice in another review and skipped the hotel breakfast, which worked out well. The cafe right next door had a superb breakfast for much less. Parking information was sparse, and €27 for on-site parking felt oddly overpriced. Still, I'd recommend it if you want to stay centrally.

I was desperately trying to find somewhere to change my six-month-old because the city had so few facilities. At reception, the woman said the hotel had no facilities for that either. I politely asked if I could use the closed seating area opposite reception to change the baby in her pram, but she refused and directed me to the public toilets in the square. I wouldn't take my baby into a filthy public toilet, so I ended up changing her outside in the street, with no privacy. The receptionist's lack of kindness and empathy told me all I needed to know about this hotel.

Getting there by car was easy, and the staff handled the parking perfectly. It's a very nice hotel in an excellent, central location.
