The kitchen made cooking awkward. A pillar blocks the only worktop, there was no kettle or water boiler, and without a cutting board the table was the only place to chop things. The place is fine for sleeping, with two bedrooms, one double and one single, and a fairly spacious bathroom. It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bra Square. Checkout was strictly at 10am, as the cleaner arrived then. Linen and towels were charged separately per night, so for our two-night stay we paid for two sets on arrival. We never got the second set, and there weren't any extra towels or linen in the apartment, so it felt like we were charged twice for nothing.

The hostess welcomed us so kindly and left a good bottle of wine and some groceries in the pantry. The place was very clean, and it’s ideally located for both the train station and the city center. We stayed three nights at Maison de Amelie, and if we return to Verona, we’ll definitely try to contact her again.

We had a really good stay. The place was quiet, furnished well, and kept very clean. It’s well maintained and has everything you need.

The landlady was lovely, and the accommodation was neat and clean. It’s in a peaceful part of town, which made it a wonderful place to stay.
