Hotel Martini

I travel around Europe a lot, and this hotel felt like a real find for the value. It sits between the city and the station, within walking distance of the station. They cleaned the room every day, breakfast had great options, and the staff were really friendly. Highly recommend 👍

For what it costs, this is a fabulous hotel. Michael at reception deserves a special mention for how much he knows and how willing he was to help. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a broad choice and was replenished regularly right up to the end of service. The train and bus stations are handy, and the walk into the old town is a fairly straight 20 minutes. I’d definitely stay again.

The accommodation is clean and practical, with friendly, helpful staff. It works well if you’re travelling by public transport: Porta Nuova train and bus stations are a 10-minute walk away, and the old town is no more than 20 minutes on foot. I’d recommend it to anyone watching their budget who doesn’t want to pay the much higher old town hotel prices.

It’s about a 20-minute walk to the centre, and the rooms, while clean and tidy, are very basic. They feel more like private hostel rooms, and the average breakfast didn’t help, especially the chopped sausages, which seemed like leftovers from other people’s plates. For the price, I wouldn’t recommend it to couples hoping for a romantic Verona stay. The place took away from the atmosphere, and I’d strongly suggest looking at other options to make the holiday more enjoyable.
