Ponte Postumio

I was really disappointed with Ponte Postumio in Verona. The apartment didn’t match what the listing led me to expect, and I couldn’t enjoy the visit. Getting inside felt like solving an escape room, with several locks and a long PDF guide. The entry codes also don’t change between guests, which seems like a serious security risk. Once inside, the strong onion smell was overwhelming. I’m allergic to onions, so it was a health concern as well as unpleasant. The place hadn’t been cleaned well, the extra blanket was dirty, and the sleeping arrangements were cramped, with flat pillows and a blanket that wasn’t adequate. When I raised these problems, the host was dismissive and essentially blamed me for not checking the photos more carefully. The listing photos didn’t show the space as it really was. After a brief look around, I left and found somewhere else to stay because of the conditions. Even so, the host charged me a €100 penalty, which I consider completely unjustified. I trusted Booking.com to offer accurate listings and reliable hosts, and this left me frustrated and disappointed. I can’t recommend the property, and hope this warns other guests. Check reviews carefully, and be cautious with vague descriptions or photos that look too good to be true.

The balcony had great views, and the apartment is right in the city center in a very convenient spot. It was roomy and clean. The owner answered all our questions promptly over WhatsApp, and arrival went smoothly even though we got there a few hours before the stated check-in time.

Superb apartment in a fantastic location 👌

Apartment 03 has a fantastic balcony view over the Adige River and a few sights. The accommodation was clean and great. Wi-Fi ran at 100-120 Mbps, the air conditioning worked well, and the shower was refreshing. The kitchenette had a roomy refrigerator, stove, microwave and small capsule coffee machine. The key storage was a little confusing 🧐, but you can get it clarified over the phone.
