That Wi-Fi corner gets five stars, but the accommodation was probably the most uncomfortable place I’ve ever stayed. The chalets, if you can call them that, were unsanitary and had no soundproofing, and there was mold in the bathroom. Our sheets were missing at first; when they finally arrived, they were dirty and ripped. The water stayed cold, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable, and cooking wasn’t an option because the dishes and cutlery were dirty from the start. Don’t go unless you’re ready to live unhygienically.

Our reservation wasn’t on the list for the four-star campsite, so we ended up staying at the one-star site instead. It was dirty, moldy and uncomfortable, with dirty sheets and bad mattresses. The sea was about 20 minutes away, which was fine, but getting there meant walking through an unlit forest. The only good thing was the Wi-Fi spot.

It’s a really big campsite and not bad overall, but bring something for the mosquitoes. The showers use microchips, and once you insert one you need to get under the water quickly because the time goes fast. I like the idea of limiting showers to save water, though reception should tell people the chip gives you about two minutes.

There are lovely little chalets, mobile homes and shaded places for tents, plus a shuttle bus to the beach. The site has a pool, restaurant and shop. I hope we just got a trainee chef, because the restaurant pizza was the worst I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve had Pizza Hut!
