The staff were very kind and available at any time. The building is old-fashioned, but it was clean and neat. Supplies were basic: just one soap tablet, a shampoo and shower gel in one, a small TV, and only a few snacks and water in the fridge. Breakfast was quite limited too, though the homemade cakes were not bad. The chlorine smell in the room lingered on the first day and was annoying. Overall, things were fine for the price, even if nothing was especially good.

We won’t be coming back, which is sad because this used to be a must for us whenever we were in town. My family and I have visited every year on vacation for the past six years. Our favorite waiter, Luciano, no longer works there, and now the man serving us can be either rude or nice, depending on the day. He didn’t bring menus when we arrived and was pushy about what he wanted us to order. Several dishes have changed or gone downhill: the antipasto portions are smaller, the meat was tough, and the fish was barely cooked. The pepe & patate was basically French fries topped with sautéed onions and peppers. It used to be more traditional, cooked in oil with tomatoes. We also wondered how honest the man was being and whether he might take advantage of us because we were speaking English. For the area, it’s pricey. Four adults and a two-year-old cost us 150 euros. In the past, two people could eat as much as they wanted for 50. We ordered 3 casa antipasti, 1 fish antipasti, 1 plain pizza, 3 house pastas, 1 fish pasta, 2 meat grigliatas, 1 fish grigliata, pepe & patate for the table, waters and pop.
