Villa Le Cannicelle

I celebrated my 70th birthday at La Cannicelle on June 29th, and it was incredible. The villa was wonderful, and Marzio and Maria were unbelievable. That view alone is worth the visit, simply amazing. It was my best birthday!

We’ve traveled quite a bit and haven’t stayed in a better B&B, especially for the quality of service. It’s true what they say about southern Italy, families welcome you as one of their own. Marzio is an excellent host, and his place has everything covered: peaceful, rustic and charming, spotless, nicely decorated, extremely comfortable, and equipped beyond what you’d expect. Maria, the housekeeper, is the icing on the cake. She’s always around but very discreet, and really helped us enjoy our holiday to the fullest. You won’t regret staying here. Thank you, Marzio, Antonietta, and Maria. We’ll definitely come back.

The pool and incredible patio have views that take your breath away. The grounds are well kept, and the spacious villa is very comfortable. It’s also close enough to neighboring towns and villages to explore this part of Italy easily. The villa is fantastic, spotlessly clean, and very well equipped. I highly recommend it.

The pictures really don’t do Le Cannicelle justice. It’s a great place for several families with children staying along the Cilento coast. There are several kitchens, including an outdoor grill and pizza oven, and the sleeping areas are spacious, all with amazing sea views. The pool has lots of toys and kept our eight kids under 10 busy for hours. Our host was a perfect tour guide. His suggestions made this a vacation to remember, from local places to eat to a local chef who cooked at the villa and a private boat tour to clear water and private beaches.
