BB Palazzo Regau

We had plenty of room and found the accommodation ideal for a stay in Vicenza. The hostess got in touch early to help us plan our arrival, and she shared lots of useful tips while we were there. She's friendly and helpful, and the central location is fantastic.

We were welcomed into a beautiful historic home, and the owners did their best to meet our requests. They even surprised us with a small plate of strawberries in the room when we arrived! It was more of an apartment than a single room, and everything was orderly, clean and lovely. Thanks again, Tiziana and Venanzio.

Mrs. Giulia was very kind, spoke German, and had lots of useful information for us. The location is extraordinary and very close to the center, so we'll definitely return. One big bonus was being able to park in the yard for 15€/day. The apartment itself is spacious, with a bedroom/living room, comfortable bed and roomy sofa, TV, enough hangers, a chest of drawers and a metal clothing rack instead of a wardrobe. There are many stairs to climb, so that's useful to know if you have mobility problems. We had to save the location's phone number and call when we arrived so someone could greet us and hand over the key. The breakfast room has a large table and a coffee machine with capsules, kettle and fridge stocked with milk, butter, cola, water and yogurt. Breakfast also includes cookies, other sweets, tea bags and bread. We would have preferred some meat, cheese or vegetables such as tomatoes. There is a shop nearby where we bought very tasty cold cuts and cheese. I didn't use the upstairs room with the running exercise machine, though it has a sofa too. Unfortunately, the TV had no German or English programs.

This is a Venetian Gothic-style palace, with a beautiful six-light window on the main floor. The building has recently been restored, and some of its exterior frescoes were recovered as part of the work.
