Camping Vicenza

We only stayed one night because of our travel plans, and the campsite wasn’t crowded at all. There were lots of empty spaces under the trees. The toilets and other facilities were clean. The woman at reception was very kind and explained everything about the campsite and the area.

The bus stop for the city centre is close by, and the city is well worth a visit. Reception had plenty of information. It’s a great campsite for hot summer weather, with large shaded pitches and excellent free hot showers.

It was ideal for an overnight stop, right by the motorway. The pitches are shady, and the shower and toilet block was surprisingly huge for the number of people there, as well as pristine. You can hear the traffic, as expected, but otherwise it was quiet and I slept well.

We stopped here for one night while heading south. The pitches were shaded, easy to get to, and there were plenty to choose from since the place wasn’t crowded. The toilets and showers were spacious and clean, with great water pressure. We also enjoyed the hotel restaurant and went back for a quick breakfast with great coffee. We hadn’t realized the site was right by a highway on-ramp, but traffic wasn’t too heavy, so it wasn’t a problem. We’d hoped to visit Vincenza, but the bus only runs once an hour and not at all at night, which ended up being too complicated. There wasn’t much to do nearby, so we moved on after one night. It would be ideal for a caravan with a separate car, or if you have other transport like a scooter.
