Our group of nine was blown away by the grandeur and chic Italian style of this impressive building, and the tower has incredible views. We spent four nights here. The layout made it easy to mingle, then retreat at the end of the day. The wings are separated almost like apartments, so each couple had amenities and proper privacy. The pool is fantastic, and the grounds are lovely to walk around. The staff were lovely and always available, and we highly recommend it. Getting to the house takes a small vehicle because the Italian roads are very, very tight. Almost all transport won’t come directly to the house. If you’re going downhill both ways, it’s about 20 minutes to and from the house.

Relais La Torricella feels like stepping into an Italian fairytale. The place is unbelievable, and the property manager made it even more special. She’s one of the kindest, most generous and thoughtful hosts I’ve met, and clearly works incredibly hard. Five-plus stars, every day.

There’s loads of space at La Torricella and the view is breathtaking. The drive is the drawback: the roads are so narrow that only very small cars can make it up. It’s about 30 minutes from sorrento. Without that difficult drive, I’d have given the place five stars.

The rooms were roomy and warm, and the view is just stunning. We did have trouble with the road to get there, though. Still, it’s an incredible place to stay.

It’s hard to believe a place like this exists. Up in the mountains, it looks almost like a castle, with Vesuvius and Sorrento spread out below. The most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed.
