We should’ve stayed longer. The place was beautiful and clean, and the service was great. Highly recommend!

The overall atmosphere at Althea Village was quiet and comfortable, and the staff were kind and welcoming. We stayed six nights in August. When we arrived, two staff members met us at reception, we paid, and they handed over the keys. Our small apartment for two had a kitchen by the entrance, a little bathroom, and a bedroom. It was generally quite clean and had plenty of comforts. Outside there was a small terrace with a drying rack, table, and chairs. Indoors, the fridge worked well, and the kitchen had a cooktop, sink, and some dishes. The bathroom had a sink and mirror, toilet, bidet, and shower. In the bedroom, the double bed was very comfortable, and there was a large, practical wardrobe with several doors, bedside tables, a small table, a mirror, and air conditioning that worked perfectly. A few things could be improved. There was no coffee maker in the kitchen. The shower in our apartment was quite narrow and a bit awkward. Our TV was mounted above the fridge, and we couldn’t move or tilt it, so watching while seated was impossible. We didn’t end up using it. For the village itself, I’d suggest more services, like a more consistently staffed reception and a bar, plus some attention to the pool. It was always isolated during our stay. Even though it was hot out, the water was freezing, so after the first day we didn’t use it again. There was no ladder either, which made getting in awkward and difficult. Other guests we spoke with mentioned the same problems. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. I’d recommend it if you want a quiet, comfortable few days to switch off from your routine.

I’m giving it three stars for the pool, peaceful setting, and terrace. The location is nice and quiet, but the beach is a 20-minute walk away or you’ll need a car. The rooms need work: our bidet leaked, the shower couldn’t be used, and the mattresses are sagging and need replacing. The kitchen light could also be moved, since the fan directly under it blocks the light.

Mr. Mario was a real highlight, always friendly and willing to share useful suggestions for trips to the Tremiti Islands, nearby beaches, and local restaurants. My wife and I had a relaxing holiday in a quiet, family-friendly place. The apartment was clean, tidy, and had what we needed, while the pool and outdoor areas were well maintained and welcoming. Residence Althea is surrounded by greenery and kept in good shape. It’s peaceful, but still close to Vieste and the sights of the Gargano. We’d recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the area in comfort and quiet.
