Gattarella Family Resort

The place is wonderful and I'd highly recommend it. My two main suggestions are to improve breakfast, both the food quality and dining atmosphere, and update the rooms. They're aging, and noise from the neighbors comes through. If Gattarella fixes those things, it would be perfect. Other than that, highly recommended.

The scenery is flawless and breathtaking, and we felt that the owners and staff made us and our guests part of the family. We're from the UK and held our Indian wedding at this beautiful resort. It was the resort's first Indian wedding, and we were delighted they accommodated our rituals and culture so our dream wedding could happen. The owners spent so much time with us during the planning phase to make sure our requirements were met, and we were overwhelmed by how they decorated everything for the day. The service and the wedding day exceeded our expectations. We're grateful for all the effort and time that went into making it special. We'd highly recommend the resort for a holiday, wedding destination or any event. They truly go above and beyond.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, always ready to help. We had a nice room with a comfortable outdoor patio during our ten-day stay. The animation staff were friendly too, though sometimes a bit pushy. A few things could be better. At breakfast there were more people than tables every morning, and it was a mess. The beach facilities felt poor: one ping-pong table for 500 people, so I never got to play with my daughter, and the four canoes were always busy, so I only used one once. Music was always loud, with no way to rest and relax. The restaurant food wasn't very traditional, it was very international. The tennis court required payment and booking. And when we arrived, we needed a few phone calls to get the room fully set up. We'd still recommend it for families.

The beach and water are lovely, especially for kids, and the location is beautiful. The pool was nice too, and the inflatable slides were fun, though for some reason they don't open until 6pm. We had an okay time, but there were significant frustrations. The organization and management seemed fairly incompetent, and the rooms felt minimal for the price, clearly not upgraded in years. The dishes and cutlery were barely usable. Our 3-year-old got cut on a rusty wire sticking out from our villa gate, and staff didn't think it was a big issue. The restaurant was below average, with a self-righteous manager. Prices were sky high for the quality, and the hours don't work well for kids, with it opening at 7:30 pm. The restaurant hours also didn't match the app; when we pointed that out, the manager told us off. This resort could be great if management took better care of it and was less rude to high-paying guests.
