La Stella del Sud

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this lovely B+B. The owners gave us great tips for restaurants and sightseeing, the kind of advice I don’t think we’d have found elsewhere. It felt like staying with friends, and we’re so glad we chose this area and this B+B. I’d recommend it to everyone. Our room looked even nicer than the online photos, and despite the recent heatwave in Italy it stayed comfortable without the air conditioning on. There were complimentary drinks in the small fridge, and the clean, roomy bathroom had hot water. Breakfast was great, too. Vietri sul mare is a less touristy town at the east end of the Almafi Coast, just a pleasant 10 minute walk from the ocean and beach area. It’s as pretty as Almafi and Positano, but easier to reach by car, with convenient bus and ferry access to the other coastal towns. It’s also the area’s ceramic center, where all the pottery you see around here is made.

The rooms were spotless, and the owner was so thoughtful. I felt right at home during my stay.

A comfy room and a friendly host.

Lina made our three nights in early June especially enjoyable. She was attentive and gave us really useful suggestions for getting around and choosing places to eat. We had plenty of room, everything was spotless, and breakfast came with fresh croissants plus cereals, yogurt, and jams. Vietri is only a 5-minute walk away, which made this a great base for exploring the Amalfi Coast. There was also free parking in a quiet area. We'd happily come back.
