Hotel Cima Dodici

Breakfast was a treat, with a great spread of cold cuts, scrambled eggs, cheese, fresh bread, pastries, yogurt, cereal, granola, and espresso or cappuccino. But the included dinner was the highlight, delicious and high quality, with flavours better than anything we found at nearby restaurants. Every meal felt special. We felt at home as soon as we arrived at Hotel Cima Dodici. This charming family-run hotel has wonderful hospitality and service, treating guests like family. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, cosy rather than large, just right for a mountain lodge. After a day out, the steam room and spa were perfect for unwinding. There's also a handy ski room with boot dryers and plenty of equipment storage. Ski rental shops are a short walk away, and the Catinaccio Funivie gondola is just minutes from the hotel, with a small but wonderful ski area at the top. The rest of the Dolomites can be reached in about 10 to 50 minutes by car. It's excellent value for the service and atmosphere, and we're planning to stay here each time we visit the Dolomites.

We had a wonderful stay at Cima Dodici and would gladly return. The restaurant was far beyond what we expected: breakfasts were excellent, with the option to order fresh eggs any way you like, as well as yogurt and other classic breakfast choices. Dinners were outstanding, with different dishes each day, unbelievable taste, and portions more than enough even for a big person like me at 85 kg. It felt like a proper restaurant experience. We were lucky to be there for Ladin Saturday, when we tried the full menu of Ladin dishes. The ski bus is another option, and the Buffaure ski lift is a six-minute drive. From there you can get to Sella Ronda, or drive to Canazei, Alba, and elsewhere. Our room was clean, the furniture was fine, and the towels were changed daily. Staff were extremely helpful, and the accommodation was great. The spa is open until 19:30, but they were fine with me staying a bit longer. I especially enjoyed the hot, relaxing hammam, as well as the dry Roman sauna with hot walls at 50°C. 10/10.

We finally followed our Italian neighbours' recommendation to try Cima Dodici and ski in the Ciampedie/Vigo di Fassa part of the Dolomites. They've been coming here for their ski holidays for over 20 years, and we're a British couple who have also lived in Italy for 20 years. Now that we no longer have dogs, we decided it was time to visit. We stayed five nights, and this is where we'll be coming back next season and for many more. All three generations of the Casari family, along with their staff, gave us the warmest of welcomes and showed everything wonderful about Italian hospitality. We had a comfortable, clean bedroom with a Mountain View and balcony. After skiing, we could fill the bath, which has a shower too, with piping hot water in seconds. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic; we stayed mezza pensione. The public areas were bright, airy, and comfortable, and we enjoyed playing our own board games each evening in the cosy bar area, with an aperitivo from the well-stocked bar at reasonable prices. The free mini bus to and from the main cable car was handy too. Five stars don't do it justice. Grazie mille dal cuore. ♥️ Christopher and Eva 😘 😘

This was our second stay, and I'll be back again. The staff are attentive, almost as if they can read my mind. Our room was clean and comfortable with an amazing view. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and more than enough. The surroundings are beyond words, the Dolomites are the most beautiful place on Earth.
