The food was very good, and Lorenzo is a nice host. We stayed for a week in July. The rooms felt small and a little old-fashioned. The swimming pool was nice, but got very busy at weekends since it's open to the public.

The swimming pool was a real highlight: huge, biological, and lovely to swim in without chlorine or salt. It never got busy while we were there, there were plenty of loungers, and it was always open. A small bar sold drinks and snacks, and staff brought round complimentary fruit and juice from time to time. We also had dinner at the beautiful property once, enjoying the farm's home-grown produce. After the antipasti and homemade orecchiette we couldn't manage the meat, though the owner had insisted we try it. The primitivo wine was a favorite. Parking on the property was easy. Our trullo at Masseria Sciaiani Piccola was spacious, with a big bathroom and a lovely authentic feel. It stayed cool inside, so we hardly needed the air conditioning, and there were plenty of bath towels. The rain shower was broken, which meant we had to use the handheld shower head the whole time. Breakfast was plentiful, and the pastry was really fresh, but most choices were sweet, while we prefer a hearty breakfast. We had a very pleasant stay in this beautiful place, and loved the farmer and his family's hospitality. The farmer speaks French very well.

We came from England with our families, my wife is from Taranto, and had a fantastic Ferragosto. Lorenzo was very entertaining, and the attention to detail and genuine 0km food made the stay even better. We couldn't have asked for more. Thanks, Lorenzo.
