The owner picked me up at Bergamo train station and was very helpful. He also offered a ride from the hotel to the airport for just a few euros. One suggestion for management: please provide tea and a kettle. Also bring a coin if you plan to get coffee or a drink, since the vending machine doesn’t take Visa or other cards.

The owners are kind, friendly, and always willing to give advice or help with whatever you need. It’s a good-value place and very comfortable, even if it isn’t especially modern. It’s in a courtyard apartment building, almost on the town’s main road, and is well kept and clean. Breakfast isn’t included, but there are snack and drink vending machines in the dining room. The bathroom has a hairdryer, disposable slippers, soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste, which came in handy. There are also some very good spots nearby for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

We only stayed one night, which seems about right for this place. It’s basically one room with a large bed and a second bunk bed. The bathroom was clean, towels were provided, and there was a fridge. The place feels like it dates from the communist era. You can hear other guests a little in the stairwell and neighboring rooms. Staff were friendly, and the owner speaks English. The location is handy, about a 15-minute drive to the airport and 10 minutes to the city center. Parking is a plus, with plenty of space.

Getting around Bergamo without dealing with a car or parking was easy, since the suburban bus stop is just 20 meters from the house. The rooms were welcoming and spotless, and the owner was helpful with lots of practical information. Great value for the price.
