The location and views are great, and being able to use the e-bikes was a nice touch. Stefanie in the restaurant and the reception staff were great. Dinner was very good, and the wine list was excellent. Breakfast and especially the afternoon snack and cake buffet were below par, though. The hotel, including our room, felt somewhat outdated and could use some care from management. Since it’s in town, there was some traffic noise and not much outdoor space. It didn’t feel like a four-star experience.

The location is lovely, and the hotel itself is clean and well organized, with a nice, cozy room and very friendly staff. Those parts would get four stars from me. The problem was dinner. We paid around 500€ per night for half board, but across our four nights the same ingredients kept showing up at dinner after being served at breakfast or in the afternoon buffet. It looked too much like the meals were made from leftovers. I don’t mind reusing food, I do that at home too, but it was too obvious here. That’s what I’d expect from an 8€ lunch plate at a trattoria, not a hotel charging 500€\night. And 4,50€ for tap water is an absolute joke. It’s a real shame, because the hotel, the people working there, and the location are all really nice.

The meals were delicious, and we loved getting StephansHof’s newspaper with breakfast each morning. Everything was clean, well organized, and in perfect condition, with so much attention to detail. We had an absolutely amazing stay and recommend StephansHof 100%!

The food was all perfect, and the wellness area was great. It’s a very pleasant place with lovely staff. Not everything is at the top level, but I’d still recommend the hotel. The team and everything around it gave us what we needed. All the best to you!
