Two pairs of AirPods went missing while we were out skiing for the day. I can’t see how that happens unless someone took them. The vegetarian option was just a slice of tomato, and the portions were so small I was left really hungry. There is a decent local pub in the area, though. We found it, and they gave us free drinks.

The machinery, whether it’s the AC or something else, runs at full force and makes awful vibrations and a loud, constant buzz day and night. We live about 50 metres away, and we hear it even through modern double-glazed, insulated windows. It’s loud regardless of the temperature, so my family and I can’t get a quiet moment at home or sleep at night. I wonder how hotel guests sleep. The owners won’t do anything about it, not even install noise-cancelling panels between the machine and our building. In a time of energy shortages, it feels like a slap in the face to people struggling with rising electricity bills, especially when this kind of energy-hungry luxury wasn’t the norm in this part of the country. They chose to build or buy a hotel with a metal roof; that isn’t my fault, and my family and I shouldn’t have to pay for their bad, unsustainable business model. This is supposed to be a friendly, quiet mountain town in Piedmont, and the hotel shows no respect for the local community.

Great value and modern four-star comfort, with lovely homemade food. It’s the best hotel for the Mondole ski area, and almost a secret to keep!
